If you’ve observed closely you’d notice that life’s decisions are becoming more emotional.

Decisions are now based on:
Who checks up on me and who doesn’t. Who’s making progress and who’s not. Who’s giving me the encouragement I desire and who is not. Who shows me love and who doesn’t…and the list goes on.

The truth is, we all crave a better future. We deeply hope for a better tomorrow despite the current circumstances but then how do we treat our today?

Life would always have emotions attached to it but you can choose to allow it to rule.

Get up and face reality.

Emotions won’t get you the results you desire. It can even make matters worse especially when it’s handled improperly.

Yea, people are supposed to see your condition, feel the way you do about it and try giving a helping hand.

What if they don’t?!

Will you sit there waiting for a hand to pull you up?

As far as man is concerned that hand you desire isn’t guaranteed. Why not sit up, refrain from picking offences at people who didn’t check up on you when you were ‘down’ and try getting things done. Those people may be going through worse experiences than yours and you may never know. They come on social media to find air and you feel offended that they didn’t visit your DM to ask about your welfare as usual. Only if you can see that they’re only making attempts to manage their own pain. 🥺

It is only in Christ Jesus that you can get the hope that will satisfy your soul. Don’t burden another man with an expectation he can never meet consistently in your life. The truth is this; that man doesn’t feel that burden — your mind does. And it gets weary as minutes go by, so be calm.

Take a deep breath and allow Christ to make hope rise again.

You’d still be great. You’d still rise to prominence but first, stand up from where you are.
Forgive all men, put no hope in them and trust only in Christ. He never fails.

And to you who is being considered a friend, try checking up on people nah. By doing so, you’d be a tool used by Christ to help a man stand again. It’s friendship and we’d have to pay this price to keep the ship sailing.
